If the people of Oral Roberts University, Oral Roberts Ministries, and Trinity Broadcasting Network give a preacher a THUMBS DOWN, then that preacher is absolutely someone worth listening to! Pearson is one of those "right" people at exactly the "right" time..

I think I love most that they are juxtaposed to 10 commandments. They're not rules or laws. They are positive, and they are about being, doing, and becoming.

This is very simply (thus, very well) stated. I'm swiping it immediately, and..ohmyohmy: imagine the 10 part sermon series!

Really fabulous post. I especially love numero uno--about not being separate from the All-That-Is. I find myself saying that alot.

I think this is where our suffering ultimately comes from. And funny thing is, we AREn't separate. Thanks so much for this thought-provoking post.

There are two stories in the bible that have been coming up quite often lately--the woman with the issue of blood & the woman caught in adultery (about to be stoned). i hadn't read it from The Message Bible before...but i like it...sheds new light on it for me.
i did read the rest of you post, but i'm more focused on the pericope at the moment.

thanks.
